Popular Mechanics Magazine Story About Netcong Auto Restorations, LLC. May 2011 Hits The Street

Popular Mechanics staff conducted a nationwide search of hundreds of automotive restoration shops before selecting Netcong Auto Restorations to do the project

Leading monthly men's magazine Popular Mechanics has commissioned Netcong Auto Restorations, LLC., once again for the magazine's annual Car Makeover feature, running in its 2011 May and June issues. This year the project included customizing a 2011 "Ford Mustang GT " convertible as well as a 2011 "Victory Hammer S" motorcycle. The May issue is on newsstands now and mailed to all subscribers.

The transformation of the vehicles is being chronicled in a two-part feature "Weekend PONY EXPRESS" The 2011 Pop Mech Top Shop: An All -New Adventure, in the May and June 2011 issues of Popular Mechanics, as well as online at pmtopshop.com.

"Last year in 2010, we put one shop to the ultimate test: We took that headache and put it under the spotlight. After conducting a nationwide search for a custom shop capable of turning a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS into something special, we selected Netcong Auto Restoration of Netcong, New Jersey."
"Phillip and Dana brazer, the shop's owners then subjected themselves to our cameras, our deadlines and the harsh glare of scrutiny, attempting to create a spectacular machine from ordinary street muscle."

"The car that resulted was amazing-it featured futuristic styling, a thundering supercharged V-8, and enough chassis modifications to shame many purpose-built race cars."

"This year, we threw wrench into the works: We asked Grant Brazer, Phillip and Dana's 14 year old son, to get involved. This wasn't a whim-Grant showed a keen eye for design during the Camaro project, and he helped his father with some of that car's finishing touches. Grant's design for the new Ford mustang GT Custom was nothing short of radical."

Car will be featured at events including:
June 9-12 Pocono 500 (PA)
August 8-14-2011 Sturgis SD/Bike Week
Sept 17-18-2011 Route 66 Rendezvous (CA)
